The Ceiriog Network

The Ceiriog Network are a team that enable the Ceiriog Valley to have a resource of websites that offer a service within the Ceiriog Valley, or the surrounding area.

The network has been in establishment since the year of 2000, even though the network is still quiet small, we still aim to grow and develop over the next few years. With the Ceiriog Valleys' remote location, the majority of the internet users within the valley mainly use the internet to research and seek information, including the valley's oldest source of local news and events, the Glyn News.

The Glyn News

The Glyn News was one of the first organisation to join the vastly growing WWW (World Wide Web).

With the success of returning visitors logging on and keeping a check on what is happening within the valley, the website went from strength to strength.

Even though the Glyn News is no longer online, The Ceiriog Network aim to change that, with the unfortunate departure of the Glyn News' Editor, Jon Massey, The Glyn News is no longer published, But the Glyn News will soon be back in action with some help from us.

Ceiriog Valley Youth

The Ceiriog Valley Youth, formerly Ieuenctid Glyn Youth, were set-up by a local group of youths out to change the Ceiriog Valley's impression of the youths that reside within the most beautiful valley in North Wales.

The youths approached the Ceiriog Network requesting a website that will show off the good within them.

When the youths set up in 2002, they were aiming to get a good name for themselves after a few years of trouble within the valley, the first website that they requested, www.igy.org.uk used the colour theme of their logo, as they were always organising sponsored events, the website needed updating frequently, so we decided to buy them a piece of software which enabled them to edit and update their website whenever need so, this proved very successful.
